Working collaboratively across the organization, the Senior Developer/Architect Book Production is an expert in the Learning Ally back office book production systems.  This includes working closely with busienss leaders to define, streamline extend and enhance solutions to produce the products for the markets we serve.  The Senior Developer/Architect Book Production is a hands-on technology leader that thrives in an environment that requires programming, planning and team leadership and directs both internal and external techology teams in developing, and integrating supply chain and work flow technology, including acquired component technologies, and providng back-end system support.

Job Requirements

Education:  Bachelor's Degree with a technical focus preferred.  Experience:  6+ years experience in a hands-on technology role as developer; Experience developing and implementing robust web-based applications; Experience leading development of software products and services which direclty touch end-users and be comfortable with a high-lelve of customer interactions; Proven track record of delivering products on time and budget; experience in the areas of audio-books, accessibility, digital publications ebooks with text a plus.  Skills/Knoweldge:  Exposure to a wide variety of enterprise software, cloud service and application technologies; Software development and success integrating multiple platforms is a must; Expert level .NET with C/C# experience;  Expert level database design skills and experience with Erwin a plus; Expert level XML experience: XSLT, XPath, XQuery, Applied DNN and NetSuite experience a plus; Applied MS SQL experience; Java programming exp preferred; Audio and multimedia experience preferred; Web hosting, HTML development and Web Services system expereince preferred; Experience implementing and delivering technology projects by leveraging agile development methodologies, including SCRUM preferred; expert knowledge of web analytics and search by optimization a plus; Ability to successfull collaborate with multiple levels of management, project team members and internal and external clients; Demonstrated team leadership, time management and decision making skills required along with excellent oral skills to present technical solutions in business terms.
