Job Description:

Display advertising is growing in leaps and bounds, and Google is at the forefront with solutions that make it easier for buyers to buy ads and publishers to sell them. As one of the world’s leading ad servers, DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP) is one of our key offerings in this area. For more than a decade, DFP has powered the ad businesses of many of the sites you visit every day. And as the product’s marketing manager, you’ll be the heart-and-soul of how we market it: a fully-dedicated business leader who helps shape every aspect of how we talk about DFP and how it evolves.

You’ll determine positioning, naming, feature prioritization, external communications, and more. You’ll work closely with product management, sales, client services, and corporate communications to drive successful product launches, create engaging campaigns, materials and events; and you’ll craft messaging that translates complex features into plain-language benefits.

It’s an exciting and transformational time for DFP. The platform is on the tail end of a major technology upgrade, and we need your help to create awareness around these new capabilities among existing clients, potential clients, and the industry as a whole.

  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs to inform product messaging and successfully communicate value proposition to publishers.
  • Lead global cross-functional initiatives to drive the marketing strategy for go-to-market plans for product launches.
  • Collaborate with sales to address their needs via maintaining a robust sales kit including presentation materials, product collateral, case studies and competitive positioning.
  • Launch thought leadership initiatives to drive visibility in the industry and help accelerate business momentum through research, white papers, webinars and events and other tactics.
  • Lead large publisher programs, communication planning and marketing campaigns to drive platform business growth.
Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree. In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 3 years experience in product marketing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA.
  • B2B and/or technology marketing experience, and experience in the online display advertising industry.
  • Experience with supporting sales teams and working closely with the senior management.
  • Self-starter with a willingness to operate at both highly strategic and very tactical levels.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including strong writing abilities and proven experience in making complex technical subject matter accessible to a broader audience.
  • Strong track record managing go-to-market activities for new product introductions and ability to develop marketing plans within a quickly changing competitive landscape.
