Job Description:

The Mobile Product Manager will assist in leading the development of branded products for mobile phones, tablets and new platforms for Entertainment Group properties. This forward-thinking position requires a proven familiarity with product development, mobile technologies, key mobile players, digital media technologies, online community strategies, as well as experience in leading multiple technical projects and interacting with multiple stakeholders from product inception to completion.

Successful candidates must be highly innovative, capable of defining and clearly communicating strategic initiatives, product concepts, clear product goals and objectives, and mobile trends to a variety of management, creative, and technical stakeholders. Working closely with the respective programming, tech and marketing/sales teams, you will set the product objectives, track performance, and ensure the products meet the goals set by you and the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages and evolves mobile product strategy, app and feature development
  • Uses market analysis, best practices, traffic metrics, emerging trends, and lessons learned from previous projects to produce superior mobile products and user experiences
  • Identifies relevant audience needs and opportunities in the mobile space
  • Produces functional documentation, including business and user objectives, requirements, specs, and status reports as needed
  • Sets expectations with stakeholders, maintains change control, and ensures fulfillment through the product lifecycle
  • Develops working relationships with key players and vendors in the mobile technology and distribution space

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in the Digital Media space
  • Minimum 2 years experience developing successful products for mobile devices in a consumer-focused organization
  • Extremely organized and capable of managing, tracking, troubleshooting, and problem solving multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment with multi-disciplinary teams and third party vendors
  • Demonstrated ability to map business requirements to appropriate functional/technical requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize requirements and make informed project/feature tradeoffs
  • Demonstrated ability to drive project execution with minimal guidance/oversight required
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with content management systems is preferred
  • Experience with web and social metrics tools preferred
  • Experience with registration, community, and CRM systems a strong plus
  • Experience with television properties/networks a plus
