Postmates is rapidly expanding into new markets and is looking for launchers responsible for the activation of new cities. This is a highly specialized team that requires a unique balance of both creative and operational skill. You’ll spend the majority of your time on the road, but will be headquartered out of our offices in San Francisco.


  • Work with Ops management to hire a City General Manager and Community Manager to oversee operations
  • Learn the in’s and out’s of each new city
  • Develop and execute local marketing campaigns to build excitement and drive user acquisition
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities and manage local inbound interest from merchants and customers


  • 3+ years of marketing or operational management experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven track record in managing a marketing or operations roadmap
  • Strategic and analytical thinker who has shown the ability to scale operations
  • Deliver results on time-sensitive projects
  • Pro-actively develop plans to address new challenges and opportunities
  • You should be comfortable working in a startup environment and participating in individual and group critiques.
  • Experience with extensive business or personal travel and proven ability to work remotely
  • You want to change the world at least a little bit
  • You appreciate complex problems
