Job Description:


Reporting to the BI Architect your work will be split between operational maintenance of existing solutions, prototyping and development of new works, and developing your understanding of the BI space, especially the Microsoft BI stack.  Working with internal clients from the business, development, and database teams, you will be able to quickly grasp business processes and needs, and work with users to develop appropriate solutions.


Your work with entail interaction with several source systems (mostly SQL Server based), SSIS, and SSAS, as well as Excel, SSRS and T-SQL/MDX for reporting solutions.  In addition to working with technology, you will be required to work with business staff to understand their needs, document their requirements and ultimately implement their solutions.


This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a desire to develop a career in BI to gain exposure to the full project lifecycle across a wide variety of technologies.  viagogo encourages continuous learning and you will be expected to keep abreast of the latest developments and propose enhancements to existing systems and processes.


Although the position will  begin as a junior (with full support and training provided for all of viagogo's BI projects), you will eventually transition to the point where you are responsible for managing a substantial part of your workload, driving the adoption of internal BI and recommending appropriate projects to ensure maximum value delivered to the business.



·         A keen interest in business intelligence as a career, delivered via the Microsoft BI stack

·         1-2 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server

·         The ability to clearly and concisely communicate with users ranging from the technical to executive level



·         Experience with SSIS, SSRS and SSAS

·         Experience with PowerPivot/DAX

·         Experience with Excel 2013/PowerView
