Job Description

The Data Catalog Project Lead, from the Enterprise Data Governance and Management (EDGM) Stewardship and Catalog team will be responsible to support the enterprise data catalog by ensuring the highest level of data quality, integrity, privacy, availability, security and usability of the data.

Responsibilities

  • Collect data issues across the meta data ecosystem; work with data owners and data stewards to remediate issues (quality or gaps) across the EDGM horizontal
  • Create a highly structured and comprehensive control environment to assure  that content within the catalog is remains in high quality
  • Strategically align EDGM initiative’s design and utilization of content by acting as conduit to data owners
  • Define meta data processes and controls; work with appropriate stakeholders to implement solutions
  • Monitor applicable technology and business workflows in support of data governance objectives
  • Drive the documentation of processes in accordance with defined enterprise Standards, procedures, and controls
  • Design reports for periodic reporting and analysis
  • Perform ad hoc analytics for projects/initiatives surrounding the catalog
Qualifications

 

  • Strong understanding of enterprise data management concepts, principles and practices
  • Ability to understand data models, data taxonomy, and a deep appreciation of data standards and data quality
  • Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • 3 -5 years of Financial Services Industry experience
  • BA/BS Computer Science / Business / MIS (or equivalent work experience to substitute for education); Masters a plus
