The Position

KAYAK is seeking a Marketing Data Analyst to aid in the decision making process within our marketing team. This includes analysis of our digital, traditional, social, content & PR investments

The Marketing Data Analyst will report to the Director – Global Media Analytics and be a part of the North America marketing team based at KAYAK’s global headquarters in Stamford, CT

Responsibilities

The Marketing Data Analyst will be responsible for
 

  • ongoing interrogation of KAYAK & media data to support marketing decisions
  • maintenance and enhancement of current data sources for both internal and external agency teams
  • development of additional one-off and ongoing analysis projects
  • automation of applicable analysis processes
  • supporting the Communications and PR team with data around trending topics
  • communicating results of data and analysis to relevant team members and partners 

Requirements/Qualifications

If you’re the ideal candidate, you:
 
  • Have 1-3 years of experience in a data analysis environment
  • Have experience with any of the following:     R, Python, SAS, Stata, Matlab, Unix shell scripts, ETL process development, code-management 
  • Have working knowledge of data analysis, algorithms and statistics
  • Have working understanding of marketing principles (non-essential)
  • Have previous experience in e-commerce or travel (non-essential)
