Postmates is rapidly expanding into new markets and we’re looking for an experienced City General Manager with 5+ years experience in operations, management or marketing, who is responsible for the development, growth and success of our products in one of the major cities. The City General Manager is a hands on job that is ultimately responsible for the success of Postmates in a market and as such, individuals must have a proven track record and exceptional management skills.


  • Work with our launch team to launch Postmates in your city
  • Manage our supply chain (courier onboarding)
  • Develop, execute and measure our local marketing strategies and user growth
  • Run deep analytics for product growth
  • Expansion & planning recruiting with local partners


  • 5+ years of operational management experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven track record in scaling products
  • Focus on analytics and program results
  • Solution-based selling skills
  • Development and expansion of a customer base and ability to generate repeat business
  • Deliver results on time-sensitive projects
  • Strategic and analytical thinker who has shown the ability to scale operations
  • Pro-actively develop plans to address new challenges and opportunities
  • You should be comfortable working in a startup environment and participating in individual and group critiques.
