Enterprise Holdings has a Senior Data Steward opening in the Analytic Center of Excellence (ACE) department. The Senior Data Steward provides data quality expertise across the organization. With exceptional attention to detail the Senior Data Steward collaborates with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technology teams to interpret business requirements and create data design specifications. They cleanse, profile and define data values, transforming and maintaining the data needed for development of analytics-oriented solutions to support the ACE strategy and objectives of the business.


  • Work on small to large, complex assignments independently or with others; Work with the ACE Program Lead to develop project plans, coordinate requirements gathering, develop implementation plans as well as define scope and objectives for Data Quality efforts;
  • Serve as a Data Quality subject matter expert for ACE as well as across the organization, as needed; Ensures sufficient data quality is maintained to effectively support business needs; Provide input for the development of standards, processes and procedures for the department
  • Evaluate business requests to determine feasibility, identify options, and recommend solutions for software development or enhancements
  • Identify and interpret customer requirements, providing guidance on applicable approaches; Translate requirements into conceptual and logical design specifications; profile data and create data scheme, define values and assist with building the data solution; review and validate deliverables to ensure all business requirements have been met; Ensure sufficient data quality is maintained so the data can effectively support the business requirements
  • Drive strategic solutions and timely remediation of data issues through effective root cause analysis, solution recommendations, and coordination with cross-functional teams
  • Perform task automation and implement process improvements; recommend enhancements that result in increased quality and service
  • Test and maintain data integrity, follow IT standards and processes in data governance and architecture, and provide input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed
  • Test complex routines, vendor software, and software written by self and others; Collaborate with IT on testing and deployment of software patches and upgrades; may be asked to provide guidance to end users
  • Troubleshoot application issues to ensure the proper functioning of components; Escalate complex issues; resolves moderately complex issues; recommends potential solutions to issues; follows established escalation procedure
  • Establish, foster and maintain relationships within the department as well as interact with IT teams, business teams, and vendors, as assigned; maintain established service level agreements to manage customer expectations and quality standards, recommending opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate in the formulation of outcomes, process measurement, implementation and evaluation plan; prepare and deliver informal and formal presentations to the team, department and IT teams as needed


Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Five years Experience in developing and executing data profiling, job flow development and data quality assessment / monitoring required
  • Five years Experience in data extraction and transformation required
  • Five years Experience working with relational databases (Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) required
  • Five years Experience with data management / data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of information assets and approaches related to data quality required
  • Experience with SQL and/or SAS required
  • Experience with SAS DataFlux, SAS DI, Unix/Linux, Hadoop, Hive, R, Python, GIT, Jenkins, Source Tree preferred
  • Must have attained a “meets requirements” or above on most recent performance review
  • May have no significant disciplinary actions on file in the past 12 months
