I possess several years of combined business and software related experience and in a wide variety of business sectors. I have consulted for Fortune 500 companies, the State of California, the Federal Government and have held positions where I have managed teams with up to 15 people. I am interested in the creation of long term strategic constructs that enable success in the business that I am involved in.

In the recent past I have been involved in an early stage Social Networking startup focusing on the qualification of trust amongst participants.

Here is a partial list of what I did:

1. I was tasked with comparing and developing from scratch various trust metric algorithms.

2. Created browser-based interactive map mashups for user interaction.

3. Architecting search and discovery components.

4. Created downloadable components.

5. Created a backend database from scratch, and created an application server component to drive this entire framework.

Toolkits used in early and late stage prototyping include:

Yahoo’s YUI framework, GWT, Jung-Swing,
Tomcat, Jetty, JBOSS, mySQL
Google Maps API, PHP, GeoServer (an Open Source GeoSpatial Mapping, Coverage, and Feature Server).
Android integration may be tasked in the near future.

Experience in analyzing and modeling applications, systems, and components using UML, Rational Rose, Eclipse UML Plugins, and Agile Development.

Experience with Agile Methodology and practical work within an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC.)

Experience in architecting and developing high-volume, multi-channel/tier enterprise software applications/products in verticals such as the pharmaceutical, telecommunications, Web 2.0, e-commerce, and financial/banking industries.

Expert knowledge of web, middleware, and back-end system architecture and J2EE/.NET based technologies, including open standards for interoperability.

Proficiency in networking technologies including data encryption, compression, authentication and authorization, SSO, and web security.

Proven work experience in using large RDBMS systems.

Working experience in creating solutions for integrating legacy systems, enterprise backend systems, heterogeneous systems, and external third-party systems using standard protocols and industry standard interoperability mechanisms.
