Over the past 18 years, I have worked as a technology specialist and serial entrepreneur launching innovative and disruptive technology based successful startups in Health, HR and Information Technology sectors. This has given me an immense opportunity to work with the best in the Silicon Valley (San Francisco USA), managed offshore software development and worked with rural communities in developing economies of South Asia. Currently, I divide my time between Pakistan and Silicon Valley for my endeavors.


In 2006, after completing my Reuters Digital Vision Fellowship from Stanford University, USA, I co-founded an IT startup Personforce (http://www.personforce.com) in Silicon Valley. Personforce currently powers job boards for top colleges (including Ivy League Universities) in the USA including Stanford, MIT, Yale, Harvard, Berkeley, Princeton, Michigan among others and also powers the job boards for some of the biggest blogs including TechCrunch (an AOL company), and Facebook Insider among many others. Top technology companies like Cisco, Yahoo, Amazon, Microsoft, Oracle, Electronic Arts use our system to find some of the best and top talent from the US market.

After leaving a cushy job with United Nations in 2002, I launched my first startup Cogilent Solutions, where we successfully developed and launched Pakistan's first popular Internet job portal, BrightSpyre. In 2009, TED (http://www.ted.com) declared it as the company that jump started Internet business in Pakistan. Today three million unique users search for jobs in Pakistan through BrightSpyre.

I have won numerous awards including Shell Oil’s 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year', Tameer Award (2004) and DHL’s ‘Social Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2007. I currently sit on the PASHA social fund (seed money provided by Google) as the Oversight committee member.
