β’ Identifies and advises business clients on approaches to operational risks and best risk practices.
β’ Drafts and negotiates contracts for the sale and licensing of software and other intellectual property.
β’ Represents a wide range of industries, including technology, consumer products, sports, entertainment and media, fashion, and financial services.
β’ Represents a software company in a claim of trade secret misappropriation and copyright infringement.
β’ Represents a technology company in federal court copyright litigation involving cloud-computing issues.
β’ Advises clients on legal and policy issues related to international copyright law and the proper interpretation of the Copyright Act, Cable Act, and First Amendment.
β’ Represents a consumer products company in various trademark, unfair competition, false advertising, and copyright matters, including litigation before federal district courts and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, as well as trademark clearance and registration projects.
β’ Secures antitrust clearance for InBevβs $55 billion merger with Anheuser-Busch; responsible for negotiations with competition authorities and managed litigation.
β’ Drafts, negotiates, revises and executes commercial and corporate agreements on behalf of clients.
β’ Spearheads all aspects of discovery including drafting interrogatories and document requests, supervising expert witnesses and reports, preparing for fact and expert depositions, and defending and taking depositions.
β’ Negotiates and responds to subpoenas for testimony and documents.
β’ Manages case strategy development, negotiations with opposing counsel, and trial preparation, including supervising written discovery and depositions, drafting legal briefs, and arguing pre-trial motions.
