Job Description:

Position:

Ludei is seeking a technical support engineer to work directly with our HTML5 game developers. Our support engineers will be the 1st point of contact for our growing developer base. Position requires a strong background in HTML5 and JavaScript programming as well as a familiarity with other web and non-web development languages, like Java, C/C++, NodeJS, AJAX, etc. The ideal candidate will have experience with game development and the issues game developers face. The successful candidate will be able to quickly assimilate the Ludei development platform and help developers solve fundamental challenges.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot the most difficult technical issues
  • Strong working knowledge of the components in a web development stack
  • Experience working with dynamic HTML components: AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, XHTML
  • Plus would be to have solid object oriented programming skills (Java strongly preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to complex technical problems
  • Ability to work closely and efficiently with high-value customer and developers
  • Excellent time management skills, working hour flexibility

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or similar technical degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ work experience as a technical support engineer
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about exploring and experimenting with the latest game developer technologies and standards
  • Great interpersonal skills. We’re not looking for a wallflower here. If you’d prefer to be chained to a desk, this position is not for you.
  • Strong technical background and application development experience, including proven app dev abilities around HTML5, JavaScript and related web technologies. Development expertise with C/C++ also a strong desire.
  • Disciplined, organized, structured. Ability to manage multiple customer interfaces simultaneously.
  • Talented at explaining complex topics clearly and concisely, and effective at providing practical guidance.

Travel:

Extensive travel will be required with this position, possibly including international. Support engineer could be on the road 30-50% of the time. Valid Passport is required.
