Job Description:

Do you want to be a part of a growing and energetic startup with a product spanning 190 countries?  Tradeshift is disrupting a stale e-invoicing, procure to pay and financial solutions market.  We operate a B2B network offering financial solutions to businesses, monetizing via large enterprise companies while offering free services to small companies.  

Tradeshift is looking for a San Francisco based, seasoned Senior Vice President of Sales to report directly to our CEO.  This position is responsible for taking our Enterprise sales team to the next level, building out a small business / e-commerce and mid-market division to our rapidly growing global sales.  Additionally, this person needs to have a keen understanding of how the cloud-based, SaaS market works, in addition to a proven history of building a startup sales teams to compete against huge enterprise competitors.  Our traction in the US and EMEA is growing at an unprecedented rate and the SVP will be an instrumental part of focusing our sales efforts by hiring and fostering the development of our current team while we expand our product to all areas of the market. 
 
Your Role
  • Fully understand the e-invoicing landscape, competition and strategies behind building an enterprise financial solution
  • Keep a pulse on our competition and the clients they are using for e-invoicing and scanning
  • Align internal expectations of our market traction and work with our senior management team to align the expectation of our clients in areas of Delivery, Client Support, and Product Development
  • Report to our board every six weeks on sales goals and pipeline
  • Establish sales processes and forecast accountability for Midmarket and Small Business
  • Prepare pitches and compelling visual presentations explaining the benefits of partnering with Tradeshift for all sizes of organizations
  • Recruit, manage and build a brand new small business and Midmarket sales team as our product team ramps up our product offering for both of those markets
Your Profile
  • Successful history building and managing teams throughout the US and EMEA
  • Experience building teams from junior Business Developers to very seasoned Sales Executives, keeping all in alignment on targets while incentivizing everyone properly to close business
  • Experience selling and managing sales teams targeting Enterprise, Midmarket and Small business, with an exceptional talent for Midmarket and Small Business market creation
  • Deep rolodex to help initiate conversations with F500 businesses and to expedite recruiting fine talent and generating business leads to help scale our market growth
  • Love the challenge of a startup environment - disrupting a market within a very lean, extremely bright internal team
  • You have outstanding communication skills, being both outspoken and a good listener at the same time
  • You are sales and business minded, driven by targets
  • You enjoy leading a conversation and comfortable illustrating your thoughts on a whiteboard
  • Technical discussions with a heavy dose of jargon and acronyms do not scare you
  • You find it natural explaining complex technology to non-technical prospects
  • You are not afraid of challenging customer’s understanding of their successes and reception in market
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
