POSITION: Senior Software Engineer
WORK LOCATION: Seattle, WA
JOB DUTIES:
- Decompose software engineering stories in to individual tasks
- Design and implement algorithms to process and display customer data
- Implement UI components and software models
- Collaborate with peers to define solutions to customer requirement
- Optimize existing software systems to increase overall performance and scalability
- Create and maintain software tests
- Operate and support deployed software
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus two years of experience in web technologies and server side systems development. Such experience must include the following:
- Web service development, distributed systems, scripting languages, and scalability.
- Web technologies such as Ruby on Rails or other similar technologies
- Java, C++, or C# and OO design
- Designing and implementing scalable systems processing large amounts of data
- Implementing customer interfaces
- Scrum/agile development methodologies
- Amazon’s EC2 and S3 product offerings or similar technologies
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 40+ hours per week. Salary depends on qualifications and experience.
