StrategyEye (www.strategyeye.com) develops and runs the EditorEye Content Curation platform (www.editoreye.com), which makes it easy to publish streams of content on specific topics. We aggregate high volumes of global content, analyse it by topic, and provide workflow for efficient content curation.

Reporting to the CTO, the Software Support Engineer will be responsible for the day to day support of web applications and marketing sites.
Working alongside the development team, your activities will include fixing code defects, MySQL server maintenance and reporting and proactively monitoring error logs to help identify areas for improvement. You will be responsible for keeping the issue tracking database up to date, providing periodic reports and communicating resolutions to the originator.
You will have the opportunity to develop your programming and sysadmin skills, make improvements to the system and shape the processes we use to keep the systems running and provide early-warning of problems.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills, and be able to work autonomously as well as within the team. You will be joining a small development team so must be comfortable working with a disparate range of technologies and a self-starter when it comes to devising solutions.
- Strong PHP5 development skills
- Apache/PHP setup and management
- MySQL maintenance and query optimisation
- Incident handling/technical support experience
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with case management tools e.g. FogBugz
- Experience developing with Zend Framework and/or Symfony2
- Drupal configuration and development skills
- XSL development experience
TIMING, SALARY, LOCATION
We are looking to hire immediately though will consider candidates with up to 1 month’s notice period.
Salary £23-28k depending on experience.
StrategyEye is located in central London, within a couple of minutes of Charing Cross station.
