Job Overview:

The Sr. Trader is responsible for all day-to-day trading desk account services activity.  You’ll be working inside a new team responsible for creating and executing audience based media plans.  The Sr. Trader creates and provides audience based planning recommendations to drive business goals and achieve client KPI’s.  Candidates should be knowledgeable in audience buying strategies and have direct experience with RTB operations.  The ideal candidate would have strong technical aptitude, a strong ability to manage relationships, critical thinking, and problem solving skills.  More importantly, this position requires a passion for technology with the drive and ownership skillset required to work in a “start-up” environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Planning and buying of programmatic audience based media plans
  • Responsible for campaign architecture and execution including data strategy, audience modeling, reporting requirements, and post campaign analysis
  • Create and deliver marketing presentations to key client contacts
  • Manage RTB platforms to deliver on client KPI’s and efficiencies
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client business goals and objectives
  • Evaluation of data, analytics, and platforms options in marketplace
  • Develop and execute tag mapping strategy for effective 1st data collection
  • Act as liaison between trading desk and other key teams on account (planners, research/analytics)
  • Effectively manage client budget and spending accurately
  • Staff supervision, training, and development as well as serving as a positive role model

Job Skills & Requirements:

  • 2-4 years working digital media experience, preferably with some digital ad operations experience – RTB, Display, Video, Mobile
  • Applied experience in demand-side platforms (DSP’s), 3rd party data providers, ad exchanges, and the audience buying ecosystem
  • Strong technical background preferably in ad operations, trading platforms, or other ad technology provider
  • Advanced data analysis and strong analytical problem solving skills required
  • Strong negotiating skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Able to write and present technological concepts as it relates to media is a plus
  • Ability to work successfully with teams, handling multiple projects, and meeting tight deadlines under pressure
  • Experience with media system tools from Nielsen, comScore, Omniture, Adobe, MediaOcean (Donovan), iDesk, Doubleclick
  • Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency
  • CPG experience a plus
  • Technical proficiency, particularly with media systems and MS Excel, Word. and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing/Communication.  Computer science, information technology, database or system management concentration a plus
