Your job is to establish a media sales division at Envato. You will be responsible for defining strategic sponsorship opportunities for brands, working with the product team to meet sponsorship specifications, and then packaging and selling these opportunities to top tier agencies and their clients.
This is the first sales position in the company. You will be responsible for generating advertising revenue within niche technology channels across 12 Tuts+ websites, 6 AppStormwebsites, FreelanceSwitch, and Creattica. These websites collectively generate around 30M pageviews per month, while reaching a unique collection of web developers, web designers, small business owners, entrepreneurs, and all around creative professionals.
Lastly, we are based in Melbourne, Australia, so you will be working remotely.
- 5+ years of media sales experience
- Proven track record of generating new sales channels from Fortune 500 brands and top tier advertising agencies
- Strong analytical and strategic planning background
- Existing relationships with media buying decision makers at agencies and marketing departments
- Ability to define media sponsorship opportunities based on customer requirements and general market trends.
- Ability to define a sales process and create regular sales forecasts
- Experience with ad operations/server technology and reporting
- Exposure to sales billing and payment systems
- Self starter, with enthusiasm for startups and new technologies
