Marki Microwave, the technology leader of the microwave component industry, is looking for promising students for a summer internship at our Morgan Hill, CA facility. The candidate selected for the internship will receive a competitive stipend, valuable experience, future employment possibilities, and an opportunity to publish.
The self contained 12 week project will involve an evaluation of the power handling of microwave structures, which is a poorly understood yet important area of microwave engineering. The objective is to create an authoritative paper detailing the causes and circumstances of power failure in microwave components. It will involve an equal amount of research, experimentation, and documentation.
The preferred candidate will have:
- At least junior standing
- A GPA of 3.0 or better
- Excellent performance in analog, electromagnetics, and laboratory courses
- Ideally experience with high frequency testing and measurement (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, synthesizers, etc.)
Graduate students and graduating seniors will also be considered, as long as they will still be returning for more coursework after the internship.
