We are currently seeking an individual with excellent development skills to drive forward the Last Second Tickets core platform. The ideal candidate will have a  long standing interest in software development, and will seek out new and exciting technologies and choose correct situations in which to use them. The candidate will need to be able to quickly react to new skills and methodologies, and have a desire to work beyond the call of duty in order to deliver a world class product. In short, we’re looking for a world class geek.

You’ll also be supported by a strong technical department in our parent company who can provide specialist skills and knowledge to support you in your career and help you to deliver the best product possible.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

·         Working on the core Last Second Tickets Platform codebase

·         Ensuring specifications are consistent and fully documented

·         Ensuring the platform has the highest levels of engineering and architecture

·         Following the Last Second Tickets development guidelines and processes

·         Working with the Technical Project Manager to co-ordinate tasks and ensure delivery

Requirements

·         7 years + experience with PHP and associated technologies

·         Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent

·         Ability to think logically and find simple solutions to problems

·         Able to work independently with an attention to detail

·         Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

·         Able to work under pressure with strong multi-tasking capabilities

·         Pro-active, dedicated, committed, professional and responsible

Expected Skills

·         Strong ability in PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, XML and HTTP

·         Strong object orientated programming knowledge

·         Ability to work with Linux shell

·         Good grasp of UI techniques and best practices

·         Good understanding of testing frameworks and source control

·         Geek
