
SendGrid is currently seeking an Enterprise Sales Director with experience in taking a successful SMB service to Enterprise. In this critical role, he/she will be responsible for pioneering the strategic plan and execution of SendGrid’s Enterprise G2M strategy. This will consist mainly of client-facing information discovery, proposal development, strategic and tactical recommendations, contract ratification, and closing business.
Responsibilities
* Prospect, research, and engage with prospective enterprise clients to understand their requirements, assess the state of current technology and services, and develop sales and marketing strategies to win Enterprise business
* Understand and effectively communicate SendGrid’s value proposition to the Enterprise level client,
* Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue and other goals; meet or exceed these goals
* Work cross functionally across organization to define organizational needs/requirements of enterprise customers *
Share responsibility for the overall coordination, functional management, and leadership of all enterprise client sales activities
* Other responsibilities, as may be required, such as: conference attendance, industry event attendance, and other substantive activities as we may decide
Requirements
* 15+ years experience in software sales, experience selling a SaaS product preferred
* 10+ years in a senior client sales management role for an enterprise software or SaaS company
* A track record of performance excellence, meeting and exceeding targets and objectives
* Experience developing and executing tactical sales plans, which include quotas, and account objectives
* Comfortable with dynamic, fast paced environments. Enjoys high pace of change and fast moving environments where there is fair amount of ambiguity
* Perhaps most importantly, set the highest standards for yourself, have a good sense of humor and a high level of integrity
* Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Diligent work ethic. Must be self-motivated and able to take the initiative to get the job done
* Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
* Strong consultative sales skills, personable, charismatic
* A BS/BA in a related field is preferable
