Job Description:

Dell, Inc. is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for an Inside Product Specialist II to join our team in San Jose, California.
 
Dell has recently announced its acquisition of Wyse Technology, the global leader in cloud client computing, to significantly extend its desktop virtualization offerings. The addition of Wyse will expand Dell’s desktop virtualization capabilities and provide new market opportunities for the full range of Dell’s enterprise solutions and services.
 
The Inside Product Specialist II provides pre-sales technical support to the inside sales teams during the sales process. This position is accountable for delivering technical solutions, products, and /or services that address customer needs of varying complexity (via telephone, chat, web, or e-mail); or working with subject matter expert to address a solution of even higher complexity.
 
Role Responsibilities
-          Inside sales role, which primarily takes requests via email or on an inbound phone queue and sells direct to the consumer.
-          Responds to customer inquiries.
-          May direct customers to website or other company resources for information.
-          Works effectively in a team environment.
-          Learning a broad range of Dell technology, products, and services and is able to identify how these products and services align to customer needs.
-          Able to explain technical, industry, and market facts to position Dell as a competitive solution. 
-          Cooperates and collaborates with colleagues, cross-functionally, to support the sales process.
-          Understands the administrative and operational requirements of the job.
-          Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions.
-          Follows up with occasional outbound calls.
-          Normally receives no instruction on routine work and receives general instructions for new sales activities.
-          Follows protocols.
-          Receives periodic supervision on new assignments.
-          Work guided by assignment objectives.
-          Typically establishes own priorities within guidelines.
-          Regularly adjusts to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
-          May provide procedural guidance to others.
-          Independently gathers resources and information needed to complete sales activities.
 

 

Requirements
-          3 - 5 years of relevant industry experience.
-          Basic knowledge of the full range of 3rd party software technology, products, and services and is able to identify how these products and services align to customer needs.
-          General industry and competitor knowledge.
-          Basic customer relationship skills.
-          Solid communication skills both verbal and written.
-          Understands the administrative and operational requirements of the job.
-          Dynamic personality with a hunter mentality.
-          Demonstrates good judgment in analyzing information to make routine decisions.
 
Preferences
-          Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred.
